Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By using CV Builder SA (“the Service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service provides

CV Builder SA is an online tool that allows you to create, preview, and download professional CV PDFs. Optional features include AI-generated professional summaries, cover letters, and ATS compatibility reports.

3. Payments

• All payments are once-off. There are no recurring subscriptions.
• Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not store your card details.
• Refunds: Due to the digital nature of the product (an immediately downloadable PDF), we do not offer refunds once the CV has been downloaded. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing your CV, please contact us at support@cvbuildersa.co.za and we will assist you.

4. Your content

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the builder. CV Builder SA does not verify the content of your CV. By submitting your content, you confirm that it is truthful and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

5. AI-generated content

Features such as professional summary generation, cover letter writing, and ATS scoring use artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it in a job application.

6. Intellectual property

The CV document you create using our templates is yours. You may use it for any lawful purpose, including job applications, without restriction.

The CV Builder SA platform, templates, and code remain the intellectual property of CV Builder SA. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform without our written consent.

7. Limitation of liability

CV Builder SA is provided “as is”. We make no guarantee that use of our CVs will result in job interviews or employment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in South African courts.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
